There’s a joke in here about the Frontier parts being a no- brainer because it was the same body for 13 years...

Right. How do you tell a “ classic” Nissan from a modern one?

TOYOTA! GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER!!!
gah.
From what I understand Toyota takes a very “the past is the past and we look towards the future” mindset. Unfortunately that clashes with a company that also makes notoriously long lasting and desirable trucks.
START OFFERING NEW OLD LAND CRUISER PARTS!
EDIT: I get the joke, but I’m still mad about it.

Also known as: Holy shit, we found these boxes in the back of the warehouse and guess what they had in them?!

I’m very interested in this, but the prices are likely to be extremely high. They’ll probably want something like $3000 for that bumper

They fucked up by not making the FJ Cruiser like a Wrangler, a new FJ40 the right way could have printed money I bet. My cousin had one and you can’t even see out of it.

I really dislike the way the FJ Cruiser was treated all around. Toyota was pushed into making it by California but they they stepped in and killed all the joy in the project. The original concept vehicle for the FJ Cruiser was something that looked like an FJ40 but on a Tacoma chassis built by Johnathan Ward for SEMA. Good luck finding pictures of it. Anyway, they brought him on as a consultant and basically ignored him. He was pushing for all the things we’ve been saying for years.
Solid front axle, removable top, actual utility, etc.
They kept the font on the dash and the triple wipers from his influence and thats it.
